Overview
VideoPIIR is a local-only video processing application. All data processing occurs entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to any of your data.
Data Processing
VideoPIIR processes video files that you select to detect and redact personally identifiable information (PII). This processing includes:
Optical character recognition (OCR) of video frames
Detection of personal data such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, financial information, and other PII categories
Rendering of redacted video output
All of this processing happens locally on your Mac using Apple’s built-in Vision and AVFoundation frameworks. No video frames, OCR text, detected PII, or any other data is ever sent to any server, cloud service, or third party.
Data Collection
We collect no data whatsoever. Specifically:
No personal information
No usage analytics or telemetry
No crash reports
No device identifiers
No cookies or tracking technologies
No advertising data
Network Access
VideoPIIR makes zero network connections. The app functions entirely offline and does not require an internet connection to operate.
Third-Party Services
VideoPIIR does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
Data Storage
All application settings are stored locally on your device using standard macOS preferences. Processed video files are saved to locations you choose. No data is stored externally.
Children’s Privacy
Since we collect no data from any user, no special provisions for children’s data are necessary.
